Maintenance Supervisor - 1st Shift

Summary

This position is responsible and accountable for directing and coordinating all activities concerned with the maintenance, repair, and special construction projects of the entire facility for 1st shift.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for overseeing maintenance of all production equipment, building repair, coolers and maintenance of equipment essential to the operation of the facility.
  • Responsible for the management of supervisors within the department.
  • Responsible for coordinating training for team.
  • Responsible for the hiring, discipline, and review process based on company policy.
  • Requisition and purchase tools, equipment, and supplies need to maintain the department and the facility.
  • Oversee special projects as needed, which may include sourcing project bids, building (construction), installation of new equipment.
  • Enforce all company safety regulations, and OSHA regulations.
  • Responsible for maintaining all records necessary by the company and all Governmental agencies for compliance.
  • Establish or adjust work procedures and flow to meet production schedules.
  • Confer with other Managers, and Supervisor to coordinate activities of individual departments for the purpose of maintaining equipment or needed repairs with in a specific area.
  • Ensures that all regulations are followed and enforced as outlined in our sanitation, and food safety program (H.A.C.C.P.).
  • Other projects and duties as assigned.

Supervisory Duties

Directly supervises 1-4 employees in the maintenance department.

Qualifications

  • 2 year technical school degree or 5 years of related training or experience
  • Technical experience in:
    • 3 phase 480 VAC
    • Single phase 120 VAC
    • Low voltage equipment
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of the work processes and procedures on one or more production lines
  • Knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, state and local codes
  • Knowledge of 404a refrigeration and basic fundamentals
  • Knowledge of the Fiix CMMS system, a plus
  • Knowledge of the following equipment, a plus:
    • Ishida
    • Pro Seal
    • Uschel
  • Ability to troubleshoot PLC systems preferred
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule and long hours as needed
