Logistics Services Sales Representative

Summary

Individual will be responsible for building and maintaining an ever growing customer base through logistics. The position would focus on growing sales for Lipman Logistics Services brokerage division concentrating on Southeast, Texas, Midwest, and Eastern regions of the country. The division concentrates on leveraging the current internal and external customer freight network providing capacity and service for dry and refrigerated truckload in addition to flatbed movements. In addition our team also integrates Lipman’s fleet of 90 asset trucks and 120 refrigerated trailers located in multiple markets throughout the country helping to deliver fresh product 365 days a year to our clients.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Creating, developing and retaining business relationships with our customers
  • Obtaining bid opportunities that are converted into new customers
  • Leading sales efforts via cold calling, gathering sales intelligence and ability to handle objections
  • Tracking and maintaining all sales activities in the company CRM
  • Using business development skills to identify, qualify, obtain and develop relationships with prospective clients
  • Identifying services and pricing that meet customer needs to make business objectives
  • Maintaining solid understanding of current market conditions and business trends to create offers that will boost company margins
  • Driving profitable revenue and growth year over year through recognition and realization of opportunities
  • Participating actively in growth of division and exceeding team goals
  • Gathering information to make solid independent decisions
  • Collaborate with team members on pricing decisions
  • Participate in regular sales meetings and work with management on goals and forecasting
  • Develop and coordinate sales materials.


Qualifications

  • Two years of sales experience with a 3PL, brokerage or related business is preferred
  • Previous experience and success in cold calling
  • 4-year or 2-year college degree in business, operations, and/or sales is preferred, but not required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to sell, navigate through a tough conversation, and listen
  • Willingness to train in other areas of operations within the company
  • Ability to multitask and drive to accomplish tasks in a timely manner
  • Proven self-starter with confidence and high energy level
