Lipman, Supporting Local Farmers

Community

More than 80 years ago, Lipman Family Farms started out as a small tomato farm in south Florida. Since then, we’ve grown nationwide while still staying true to our roots. As America’s largest field tomato grower, we are making a positive impact on local businesses, communities, and our planet.

We started the Lipman Local Farm Network to deliver the freshest produce year-round while helping local farmers to grow, improve operations, and prosper. Reducing miles traveled and sharing earth-conscious business practices, we’re able to support local farmers while reducing environmental impact.

Meet The Perez Brothers, Hendersonville, NC

In North Carolina, Ebilio Perez and his three brothers cultivate 400 acres of vegetables. They started out as harvesters on our farms in Immokalee, Florida. Recognizing their growing expertise and commitment, we partnered together in 2002 to cultivate a 50-acre farm in Hendersonville, North Carolina. Today, tomatoes, bell peppers, and chili peppers from the Perez Brothers' farm are available through our Lipman Local program.
